Role overview

A John Deere dealer operating 18 locations across Saskatchewan and Manitoba is hiring a permanent full-time Agriculture Equipment Technician. The technician performs shop and field service on agricultural and turf equipment and is responsible for complex diagnosis, component work, repairs, equipment setup and ongoing service support.

Responsibilities

• Remove, disassemble and recondition components.
• Perform complex diagnostics and repair agricultural/turf equipment.
• Complete pre-delivery inspection work, machine start-ups and optimizations.
• Perform both shop and road/field work as required.
• Support customer clinics, maintain vehicles/tools/inventory and keep a clean work area.
• Build productive team relationships and follow all safety requirements.

• Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair.
• Five or more years repairing agricultural machinery such as tractors, combines and boom sprayers.
• Familiarity with John Deere equipment and Service Advisor.
• Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrains, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
