Operations Manager

Full-time permanent Operations Manager opportunity with Don-More Surveys & Engineering Ltd. in Saint John, New Brunswick, with occasional work from the Sussex office. The firm provides surveying, civil engineering, planning and development-design services. Reporting to the President, the Operations Manager strengthens how work is planned, coordinated and delivered across both offices.

Key responsibilities
• Maintain a clear view of active projects, upcoming work, team capacity and backlog.
• Coordinate field-crew schedules and office workloads and lead weekly production meetings.
• Establish realistic turnaround times, monitor delivery commitments and address delays.
• Coordinate technical-review and approval schedules.
• Improve intake and quoting processes through consistent templates and pricing guidelines.
• Establish communication standards that give clients timely, clear updates.
• Align invoicing with project milestones and monitor unbilled work.
• Maintain accurate project data and practical leadership reports.
• Collaborate on improvements to the firm’s internal project-management system and lead coordination/administrative staff as the team grows.

Profile
At least five years of experience in operations, project coordination or project management within a project-based business is expected. Success developing scheduling, workflow or process systems and managing a high volume of projects with competing deadlines is particularly relevant.

Operations or project-management experience in surveying, engineering, construction or a comparable technical environment is strongly relevant. Leadership, planning and process-management skills are required.
