Role description
Current full-time role with BHP's Corporate & Exploration Legal team in downtown Toronto. The lawyer advises on complex corporate and company-law matters and major transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures, supporting global transaction activity across multiple regions. The position collaborates closely with the M&A team, global legal colleagues and external counsel and reports to the Head of Corporate Legal in London. The Toronto office is hybrid with at least three days onsite.
Qualifications
7–9 years of private-practice or in-house M&A and corporate experience from a top firm or corporation; resources-sector experience preferred; ability to lead matters, instruct external counsel, collaborate globally and accommodate different time zones and periodic travel.
