Role description
Current Toronto opportunity with Wajax reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. The Senior Corporate Counsel supports public-company matters including securities disclosure and regulatory requirements, corporate governance, ESG reporting and the corporate-secretarial function for board and AGM work. The lawyer also assists with strategic transactions, special projects, compliance and broader corporate matters. The role is based at Wajax's Toronto head office with a hybrid arrangement.
Qualifications
At least 8 years advising publicly listed companies, with significant securities-disclosure and corporate-governance experience from a leading firm or public company; corporate-secretarial experience expected; M&A an asset; strong drafting, communication, stakeholder and business judgment.
