Role description
TorontoJobs.ca Recruiting Division is recruiting an experienced Human Resources Coordinator for a confidential partner supporting multiple GTA locations in a unionized environment. About half of the role is biweekly payroll for roughly 180–200 employees. The coordinator also manages employee relations, workplace investigations, discipline/termination processes, recruitment and onboarding, benefits and remittances, records of employment, health and safety, WSIB and disability/return-to-work files, legislative and collective-agreement compliance, management support and reporting to leadership, government bodies and the Board.
Qualifications
Minimum three years of progressive HR experience; CHRP or CHRL designation or HR Management degree; direct PayWork and Workforce experience; strong payroll including ROEs, benefits and remittances; knowledge of Ontario ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, Pay Equity and WSIB requirements; independent employee-relations and investigation experience; strong communication, judgment, confidentiality and Microsoft Office skills. Unionized/multi-location and childcare, education or nonprofit experience are assets.
Additional information
Primarily onsite in Mississauga with travel among GTA locations. Benefits, two weeks vacation and gas card for approved business travel; hybrid may be considered after demonstrated performance.
