Role description
Permanent day-shift Lead Hand / Heavy Duty Mechanic role in Woodbridge combining hands-on repair with shop leadership. The employee diagnoses, repairs and overhauls construction equipment and trucks, including engines, transmissions, differentials, final drives and turbochargers, uses computerized diagnostic equipment and guides or mentors mechanics and apprentices. The role requires substantial heavy-equipment experience, a 421A or 310T licence and a valid G driver’s licence, with responsibility for workmanship, troubleshooting and safe shop execution.
Qualifications
Valid 421A Heavy Duty Mechanic or 310T certification and a valid Class G licence are required. The posting asks for 5+ years as a licensed heavy-duty mechanic, mandatory construction-equipment experience, strong diagnostics across major mechanical/electrical systems and prior experience leading, supervising or mentoring mechanics. Ozone Depletion Card and Cat/Komatsu experience are assets.
