Role description
Permanent day-shift millwright role in Concord maintaining automotive-stamping and metal-forming equipment. The licensed millwright performs preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping presses, feed systems, power-transmission equipment and hydraulic and pneumatic systems, responds to breakdowns, diagnoses root causes, installs and commissions equipment and records work through the maintenance system. The environment requires strong drawing-reading, mechanical troubleshooting and safe-work practices; welding and fabrication capability are assets.
Qualifications
Red Seal / Interprovincial Industrial Millwright (433A) certification and 3+ years of industrial mechanical-maintenance experience are required. Automotive stamping/metal-forming experience and maintenance of medium-to-large presses are strong assets. Candidates should understand power transmission, bearings, gearboxes, clutches, brakes, shafts, couplings, lubrication, hydraulics and pneumatics and be able to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
