Pipe Welder - Days - Scarborough

Permanent day-shift pipe welder role in Scarborough fabricating and welding piping assemblies and spools to engineering drawings, welding procedures, specifications and quality requirements. The work includes TIG open-root pipe welding on carbon and stainless steel, occasional MIG structural welding, pipe preparation, fit-up, alignment, tacking, fill and cap passes, visual weld inspection, joint grinding and cleaning and safe use of welding positioners, pipe stands, grinders and related tools.

At least one year of pipe-welding experience and the ability to weld pipe in the 6G position are required. A 6G TSSA TIG pipe-welding certification is an asset, as are other welding certifications. Skills in TIG, MIG and stick processes and strong understanding of pipe preparation and weld sequencing are expected.
