Production Manager - Whitby

Permanent production-management role in Whitby overseeing a continuous manufacturing operation with more than 50 employees. The manager is accountable for safe, efficient and profitable plant performance, including production scheduling, labour and headcount, quality and environmental compliance, budgets, KPIs, continuous improvement, engineering and product-development coordination and startup of new business. The role works in a unionized environment and uses ERP information to manage operating performance; injection-molding or comparable high-volume manufacturing exposure is an asset.

University degree or college diploma in a technical field is preferred, with equivalent experience considered. The posting seeks 5+ years of related experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, continuous-improvement/scheduling/process-support experience, and management exposure to 50+ employees in three-shift or continuous operations. Injection-molding background, strong business/operations leadership and knowledge of health and safety legislation are preferred.
