Role description
Permanent Quality Engineer role in Whitby responsible for the plant quality-management system and continuous improvement of manufacturing quality. The engineer supports internal and external audits and ISO 14001 recertification activities, develops and maintains PFMEA, SOP and quality standards, leads root-cause and corrective-action work, manages nonconforming-product issues and tracks quality-loss and performance indicators. The role requires practical quality-engineering experience and knowledge of automotive/industrial core tools, OEE/TPM and structured problem solving.
Qualifications
Engineering degree or diploma is required, preferably mechanical or manufacturing. Candidates should have 3+ years as a Quality Engineer and knowledge of AIAG core tools including PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and PFMEA, along with OEE/TPM metrics. Must be able to develop and implement quality systems/procedures, communicate and train employees, and occasionally support off-shift QA training.
